In 2010, a group of shoe designers challenged themselves to create an entirely new kind of product: A car.
It took the designers five years, but their driveable electric car is finally here and it looks just like a spaceship.
Here's a closer look at the futuristic looking car and how it was made:

The designers, who all work for the shoe company United Nude, used a unique design method they created called the "Lo Res" method.

The Lo Res method works like this: The designers use a customized software to scan objects from different points. Then, the software reconfigures the density of those points to create an abstract version of the object.
The designers named the car after their unique design method calling it the "Lo Res Car."
The designers based their design on the Lamborghini Countach. The designers scanned the car and then lowered the 3D resolution of the car to create its abstract look.

The car is made up of a series of triangulated planes, which were deliberately left raw and finished with matt black coating, according to a United Nude statement.
