The 2017 Ford GT, which made its original debut in 2015, will go into production this year and will sell for a whopping $400,000. With a carbon fiber body and powerful engine, the car was built for speed.

Ford showed off its supercar in a beautiful, stark white color at the Detroit Auto Show.

But we're still partial to the classic blue paint job shown off last year. Ford hasn't released performance specs yet, but we know its engine was created based on the same engine architecture used in Ford’s Daytona-winning sports racer.

It has a sleek, tear-drop shape and carbon fiber body so it can zip down the road at high speeds. Its windshield is also made of gorilla glass, which weighs less than traditional glass and is also more durable.

A powerful engine in this lightweight, carbon fiber car means you're bound to break the speed limit.
