After its debut last month in Paris, Aston Martin brought the new Vanquish to New York, yesterday.
We headed over to Chelsea to see if the new flagship of the British auto maker's sports car range looks as good in person as in photos.
Well, it looks even better.
The super grand tourer is low to the ground and shows off the hand-built quality that is the hallmark of the brand.
It goes from 0-to-60 mph in four seconds flat, thanks to a 6.0-liter V12 engine that provides 565 bhp.
To get behind the wheel of this combination of luxury and power will cost $279,995, once it hits the market next spring.
Alas, the Vanquish will not make an appearance in the upcoming Bond film Skyfall — that falls to the always classic Aston Martin DB9.
First, a look at last year's model.

Aston Martin calls the new Vanquish "more lean and elegant" than previous iterations.

The body panels are all made from carbon fiber, for lightness and strength.
